Watching the warm up shooting practice, it occurred to me that Gavin Massey, Freddie Sears, Woody, big Clinton and others were all struggling to beat Carl Pentney and/or even hit the target. It was however encouraging seeing how newcomer George Porter was consistently tucking them away with much precision before 3.00pm. But sadly, he didn’t get a single chance within the game itself.

The U's second string have tonight beaten Ipswich Town's reserves 3-1. United's goals were scored by Lloyd James, Matt Heath and Kayode Odejayi. Town's goal was a Ben Coker own goal.

Simply not good enough on Saturday. This was definitely the worst that I have seen the U's play this season and at a time when three points would have kept the pressure on Leeds. The result however has allowed Millwall to gate crash the party.
